　  She had seen many guests coming to visit them since she was created. Surely, Clement had a lot of friends. 

   One day, she saw a girl with long, black hair comeing to their house.

   After Clement greeted her, they walked into the living room.

   “Maria, this is Lynn.” said Clement.

   “Nice to meet you, Maria.” said Lynn happily. “I have heard a lot about you.”

   “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Miss Lynn.” Maria said in a friendly way.

   Lynn turned to Clement. “Wow, how polite she is!”

   Clement smiled shyly. “She is really a creature that hard to find any difference between humans.”

   “Well, I totally agree with you.” said Lynn.

   It was not the only day Maria saw Lynn. She visited them, or just Clement, constantly.

   Somehow Maria wondered the relationship between Clement and Lynn. Were they dating? Strangely, she did not ask Clement. It was the first time she had the question untold.

   Clement became more out of home. In the past, he always stays with Maria at home. When staying at home, they would do the research, watch movies, listen to the music… etc. Sometimes he would take her out to theaters, amusement park, bookstore, and any place she had never seeb.  

   But after she saw Lynn, everything was changed. She spent most of the time with herself. Maria did not know what she could do in the house. There were so many maids in their house that she would not have to do any housework. This was very suspicions that Clement did not let her do anything since she is a talented robot. Maria had asked him this question many times, but all the answer she got is “Whatever.”

   Maria then spent most of her time watching the movies they had watched, reading the books Clement wrote, listening to the music they always listened to. All the activities she did now is remember to the past.

   Day in and day out, and one strange day came.

   Maria stayed at the living room pondering as usual. Then, she heard some voices from Clement’s room.

   Maria walked near the door of that room and stood.

   “Sometimes I envy her… you know, she is really beautiful. I wonder why you made her face so pretty… but that is all right for me now.” 

   Maria could tell that the voice was from Lynn.

   “I did love her once. But I only love you now.” said Clement. “Sadly, I could not create a robot with the heart that human beings have.”

   After a second pause, he continued. “It is the first time I had ever failed in my life. People really can’t create a robot that had emotions like human beings.”

   “Oh, dear, don’t be so sad.” said Lynn. “Actually, I feel kind of grateful of that fact… because, if Maria had a heart, you and I may not engage now.”

   Maria heard all the dialogue between Luna and Clement.

   And she felt her eyes became heavy, then tears dropped from her eyes.

   She could not tell the teardrops were real teardrops or not.

   “How do you feel?”

   “Sad…”
